Barbecue Quail

  • 8 quail
  • 1/2 cup Dr. Zevia
  • 1/2 cup paleo ketchup
  • 4 tbsp. D’Vash Date Nectar
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Onion powder


Make a sauce for the quail by combining the Dr. Zevia, ketchup, D’Vash, garlic and onion powders in a saucepan over low heat. Stir just until well blended and warm.

Grill the quail for 5 minutes on one side.  Begin basting the quail after the first 5 minutes and continue flipping the quail and basting every 5 minutes until they are cooked through.
